- Description
- Store opened by Haring on 19 April 1986 at 292 Lafayette Street in SoHo, New York, devoted entirely to his work, with walls, floor and ceiling painted by the artist in his black-line style; a second Pop Shop opened in Tokyo in 1988. Haring viewed it as an extension of his practice, making his imagery accessible to everyone. The New York shop closed in September 2005.
